Principal Accountant
Daniel Cherry began his accounting career in 2012. He is a two time graduate of the University of Arkansas with his undergraduate degree from the Walton College of Business with a major in accounting and a minor in enterprise resource planning. After working at a large CPA firm in Little Rock, Daniel returned in the Fall of 2012 to complete his Master’s degree in accounting and obtained his CPA license. Daniel married his partner, Julia Nicholson, in 2017. Originally from Little Rock, Daniel has lived in Northwest Arkansas most of the last decade and plans to stay in the area for life. He enjoys following his many sports passions including the Razorbacks as well as spending time outdoors appreciating the surrounding area.
Daniel mostly works with small businesses, their owners, and not‐for‐profits as well as individuals. He is also a member of the Northside Fayetteville Rotary Club with which he volunteers to provide community service. He is an avid supporter of the SPARK Foundation as well as many other local charities. Daniel has experience with startup companies including piloting a start up to million dollar fundraising rounds. In his time at the University of Arkansas, Daniel joined a team of MBA students to create Home Dx, currently doing business as Now Diagnostics. The business plan created by the group won multiple awards including the Graduate Division at Global New Venture Competition hosted by the University of Nebraska‐Lincoln. Daniel served as the team’s accountant and provided both financial statements as well as projections that were used as a basis of the business plan. He is a shareholder but is no longer a member of the management team. The company has continued to thrive, most recently raising a $10 million in funding in the form of convertible debt. Daniel has a passion for helping small business owners
and start ups.
Daniel joined Ervin & Company in August of 2016 and became Principal Accountant of Ervin Cherry CPA November of 2018.

Our firm was originally founded November 1, 1978 by John Ervin. Daniel Cherry joined the firm in August of 2016 and became Principal Accountant and Owner in November of 2018. The firm offers accounting services to both individuals and businesses.
